This article sets the New Music Studio, a group of radical composers including Laszlo Vidovszky, Zoltan Jeney, and Laszlo Sary in its cultural context, exploring the influence of John Cage, Fluxus and other US musicians and artists on the compositional scene in Hungary in the 1970's.
