Recalling the battle of El Alamein in October 1942 and the subsequent victory by Allied forces over Rommel\'s Afrika Korps - one of the turning points of the Second World War. Filmed on location in Egypt the programme looks at how the Allies relied heavily on support from Commonwealth countries such as Australia and New Zealand. Presented by Peter Snow and his son Dan, a military historian.
