English Heritage: Full steam ahead (King's Cross) 2009
Recordings are available to view on campus only.
The restoration of London\'s King\'s Cross, its station and the adjacent goods yard is the biggest infrastructure project in Europe. It is a grade 1 listed building of lasting historical importance so nothing can be done at King\'s Cross without the say-so of English Heritage. There is a conflict between old and new as English Heritage wants to expose some 19th century cast-iron brackets, and architect John McAslan disagrees.
