Buildings That Shaped Britain 2009
Recordings are available to view on campus only.
Last in the series in which Simon Thurley profiles the most influential buildings in Britain. The story of the buildings that shaped Britain has been one of evolution, but the years after World War 1 saw the arrival of modernism which effectively interrupted the progression. This programme looks at the good, the bad and the ugly of 20th century architecture and asks the question: what can the modern world take from the past to create a British architecture for the 21st century?
