| Abstract: | The attached file is a collection of sounds created by scanning words into granular synth, an audio software programme designed to create audio signatures of images. The sounds are the audio signatures of the individual words which make up the Pop Art Manifesto: Big Business, Expendable, Gimmicky, Glamorous, Low Cost, Mass Produced, Sexy, Transient, Witty, and Young. The sounds were created for a Typographic project set by Birmingham City University using the typeface Caslon. |
