Recent technological developments have made the making and distribution of documentary films easier and more widespread than ever before. 'Creative Documentary: Theory and Practice' is an innovative exploration of these changing contexts and provides ideas, methods and critical insights that can help support successful filmmaking. The notion of the 'total filmmaker' is defined within the context of creativity and visual storytelling. Bridging the gap between theory and practice, the autors have utilised original research in outliing the contemporary, institutional, practical and financial contexts for production, always emphasising innovation and originality.
