Abstract
Audience tweets, photos and emails are set to play a more prominent part in live news programmes, thanks to a new partnership. North West local programmes have been working with the University of Salford to develop a touch screen system - similar to the way an iPhone works - that allows tv presenters to interact with and manipulate pull up messages and pictures live on air, without help from the graphics team in the gallery.
