Abstract
Bob Dylan's 1966 world tour was greeted with dismay by many Folk purists who viewed Dylan's move to electrified backing as a 'sell-out' of Authentic Folk values. This chapter looks specifically at the reaction in the UK to Dylan's progression and contextualises the anger and bewilderment felt by many.
