Summary
Documentary service examining the misery of traffic jams, the drastic measures some take to avoid them and the measures that are designed to prevent them. The Cutting Edge team follows long-suffering commuters and meets the teams trying to improve their lot with a rare glimpse behind the scenes at the Highways Agency. Meanwhile Dr Eddie Wilson, a mathematician who studies jams, explains how easily steadily-moving lanes of cars can suddenly slow to a crawl for no reason.
