Summary / Description
2009 proved to be a year of change and re-focus for the Tameside Archaeological Survey. In July the University of Manchester Archaeology Unit closed necessitating the transfer elsewhere of the long running research project, which had been founded in 1990 with Tameside MBC funding. The new home of the survey project from September 2009 is the Centre for Applied Archaeology at the University of Salford.
