Abstract
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) emerged as a concept for firms situated in western economies. Recently however, the capacity of CSR to take account of the different economic and institutional arrangements found non-western contexts has been challenged. This paper examines this contention within the context of the Russian Federation.
