Abstract
The following study was conducted by Transeuropéennes in partnership with the Anna Lindh Foundation (Translating in the Mediterranean Programme). It is an integral part of the first ever mapping of translation in the Mediterranean, conducted since 2010 by Transeuropéennes and the Anna Lindh Foundation (Euro-Mediterranean programme for translation), in partnership with over fifteen organisations from the entire Union for the Mediterranean. Sharing the same wider understanding of translation, the central role it plays in EuroMediterranean relations, in the enrichment of languages, development of societies, production and dissemination of knowledge and imaginaries, the partners united around this project shall use this mapping as the working basis to formulate recommendations and undertake long term actions.
