Abstract
This keynote paper draws on material published in my monograph Holocaust Impiety in Literature, Popular Music and Film. It was delivered at a one day workshop organised by Royal Holloway's Holocaust Research Centre and hosted by the Imperial War Museum in London. The paper focusses on the use of the swastika in punk and on close readings of Holocaust references made in songs by The Sex Pistols and Manic Street Preachers.
