Abstract
Cumbria Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment (GTAA) was commissioned by the authorities within Cumbria (Eden District Council; Copeland Borough Council; Allerdale Borough Council; Carlisle City Council; Barrow Borough Council; South Lakeland District Council; and, Lake District National Park Authority) in May 2007. The GTAA also included an assessment of Appleby Fair with the aim of providing an evidence base to assist the creation of a strategic response to Appleby Fair and also offer pragmatic solutions to any issues arising from the Fair. This assessment was carried out at Appleby Fair 2007, which ran from the 7th to the 13th June.
