Abstract
Trevor Wishart, York-based electroacoustic composer and sonic artist, discusses his most recent piece, Encounters in the Republic of Heaven, a piece in four acts created from manipulated recordings of the spoken word, after his keynote speech to the Symposium for the Performance of Electronic and Experimental Composition (SPEEC) on Friday 11 January 2012, at the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building, St Hilda’s College, University of Oxford.
