Abstract
This research project is funded by Spirit of 2012 as part of its incubation fund to support inclusive volunteering and understand more about volunteering for disabled people. Disability is a common experience in the UK, two out of every five adults (38%) report it. Because disabled people face greater disadvantage, specifically with regard to income, employment and education, inclusive volunteering is particularly important in relation to this group. The overall purpose of this research was to generate new evidence and improve understanding of the factors that support inclusive volunteering for disabled adults and provide practical insights and share good practice as widely as possible across the voluntary and statutory sectors.
