Ahmad Alsahlani was born in Basrah southern Iraq. He obtained his BSc and MSc degrees in mechanical engineering from Basrah University in 2004 and 2009 respectively. Mr Alsahlani commenced his PhD study in University of Salford / UK in 2014. His study interest was the design challenges of high altitude, long endurance, and solar powered uninhabited air vehicles.
