Dr. Ian McHale is Professor of Sports Analytics in Salford Business School. He was founding Chair of the Statistics in Sports Section of the Royal Statistical Society and currently serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Quantitative Analysis in Sports, a journal of the American Statistical Association. Ian has published research in top-rated peer reviewed journals on forecasting in sport, ranking in sport and gambling related issues. He has worked on several high-profile consultancy projects, including the creation of the EA Sports Player Performance Index, the Official Player Rating System of the Barclays Premier League.
