Khairy Kobbacy is the Professor of Management Science in the School of Built Environment. He has a long-standing interest in "applied" operational research. He previously lectured in operational research at Strathclyde University after gaining industrial experience in a major oil company. His current research work is directed towards the problems of building maintenance, the evaluation and enhancement of maintenance routines of complex engineering systems and modelling and simulation in health care.
