Biography:
University of Salford 2005-present Senior Lecturer and Director of Civil Engineering Directorate. Responsible for administration of the activities of the Civil Engineering and delivery of a range of undergraduate and postgraduate taught modules in structural engineering. Recent research projects include: • improving the impact resistance of glazing materials for Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive • development of a temporary blast and impact resistant field structure • strengthening techniques for masonry arch bridges Recent CPD taught courses for industry include: • Design of glass structures • Design of steel structures using Eurocodes • Techniques for the validation of structural analysis

Qualifications:
B.Eng(Hons), M.Sc, C.Eng, FIStructE, MICE, PgC, FHEA
