Abstract
This concluding paper reflects on the role that scholarly networks and relationships play in the creation and mobilisation of knowledge in the social sciences and humanities (SSH). More specifically, it focuses on how inter-disciplinary, inter-sectoral and international relationships interconnect and the role that physical mobility (co-presence) plays in these processes. The paper reflects on the kinds of knowledge combinations evident within the POCARIM sample and the innovation potential that these represent. Most importantly, it enhances our understanding of the contribution that SSH researchers make in the mobilisation of knowledge in response to key societal challenges.
