Abstract
In 2007 Oldham and Rochdale Partners in Action commissioned a survey of New Build accommodation in order to ‘evaluate the effectiveness of new build in attracting and retaining economically active people in the pathfinder areas of Oldham and Rochdale and to create mixed communities in terms of income, ethnicity and tenure type’. The aim of this research was to understand how well new build schemes in Oldham and Rochdale were performing in providing good quality, well designed, cohesive communities where people want to live.
