Prof Wood has teaching and research expertise that cuts across the broad subject of environmental management, from corporate environmental management to the assessment and management of pollution and the sustainable management of natural resources, especially ecosystems and their services. His research is positioned at the science-policy interface and he works extensively on the development of decision making tools for industry, regulators and policy makers.
Prior to becoming a academic, he worked for 3 years as an Environmental Consultant and then for 7 years as an Environmental Scientist, so his international research career has evolved from an applied science base.
