I am a full-time lecturer in mechanical and petroleum engineering in the school of Science, Engineering and Environment (SEE) at University of Salford since 2013. My experiences encompass teaching, learning, curriculum development, research, innovation, enterprise, and management. I teach different engineering module at undergraduate and postgraduate levels with high progression rate and excellent students’ feedback. Currently, I am the associate head of internationally recognised Spray Research Group (SRG) at the University of Salford, collaborating with large and SME companies and educational establishments at the national and international scale. I have completed my PhD at the University of Salford on an eco-friendly valving arrangement for domestic aerosol sprays (i.e. hair spray) utilising ‘clean air’ propellant such as compressed air as opposed to harmful Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). The outcome of this research formed part of ‘Technology Transfer’ by the University of Salford. In 2014, SRG won the award of Times Higher Education (THE) for ‘Outstanding Contribution to Innovation and Technology’.
My core research activities include both applied and pure research in the areas of multi-phase flow, spraying systems, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), energy, environmental and air quality, and new product development (NPD) with disseminating in high-quality journals and conferences.
