Dr Andrea Gibbons is a writer, editor, and researcher with over ten years’ experience in the US and the UK as a popular educator and community organizer on environmental and economic justice issues. Having studied Urban Planning and Geography, she is currently part of the Social Policy Department and the Sustainable Housing and Urban Studies Unit (SHUSU) at the University of Salford doing work around housing and homelessness, universal credit and social prescribing. Her first book 'City of Segregation: 100 Years of Struggle for Just Housing in Los Angeles' has just been released by Verso.
